More lovely bits of plastic. This time some thin green bits of plastic for edging/power tubes. One thicker green plastic length which will be used for the inner crystal core.

With the thin green tube length cut to size, I glued it around the edge. I will not use plastic glue next time but PVA. The plastic glue ruined the clear lighting effect on this green plastic.

The top hemisphere hot glued on to a length of 30mm tubing with the thin green tubing around the edge of the half. It was at this point I started to erm and aaagh on which way up to complete the darned thing. For weeks it stayed on its side like a tie fighter until practicality took over and I stayed with the model being this way up.
